Brigg’s 80th anniversary of D Day commemorative event

To commemorate the 80th Anniversary of D Day on 6th June 1944, there will be an event for everyone to attend in the Market Place on 6th June 2024 from 5.30pm until 8.15pm and then we'll be moving along to Millennium Green for more entertainment and Beacon Lighting until 10pm.

Event Details

Children’s Parade starts at County Bridge at 5.30pm - All Children and families welcome to join the parade into the Market Place, where there will be music and dancing and other entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.
Vouchers for free food for the children, along with a word search treasure hunt around the town.
At 8.15pm we’ll be parading, lead by the RAF Air Cadets to Millennium Green where there will be more musical entertainment from Ancholme River Jazz Band and the Brigg Singers with the Beacon lighting at 9.15pm
